most effective musical and technical artists.

Video: communication systems, camera techniques, lighting, color correction, switching
Audio: acoustic basics, systems, consoles, processing, mic placement, monitoring, mixing
Media: projection, software, text, graphics, photos, videos, transitions, programming
Music: instrument clinics, rehearsal techniques, writing,
arranging, loops, effects

Nashville and local artists will teach writing and arranging, original music at this camp. You’ll explore a variety of subjects to develop creativity, strengthen listening skills, and enhance writing techniques. Topics will include song structure, lyric and melody writing, effective demo recording, publishing, music business, and more.

Rappers, Dancers, Producers, Artists or Fashion Designers, take your game to the next level. Local hip-hop artists
will work with your talent and guide you through several individual and group sessions and projects that will
upgrade your ability to successfully imagine, create, and perform.Concepts like slam poetry, choreography,
audio sequencing, graffiti, and streetwear to name a few.

Encounter rock-n-roll like never before. Meet other musicians and form a band. Learn from local rockers. Attend
sessions in music theory, song writing, performance techniques, recording in the studio, creating a music video,
and perform a live concert finale!

Experience an actual recording studio, and learn the basic equipment and methods of audio recording and
mixing. An interactive, hands-on approach in the use of professional hardware and software will give you a
thorough understanding of the recording process from concept to completion.

This camp is all about making an actual movie . Local pros will teach you how, while you learn all the elements of
video production on industry-standard software and equipment. Topics will include writing, story-boarding, acting,
directing, camera techniques, lighting, video editing, special fx, audio, and more.

7/28 - 7/31/2008 Registration Deadline: 7/14/2008
Many of our city’s finest jazz musicians and instructors are featured in this camp. Activities will include daily
instrumental master classes, combos, large ensembles, faculty led jam sessions, jazz theory, improvisation, and
other special topics, such as jazz history, transcribing, and ear training.
